Mental Health Parity Bill Passed By House Panel

Mental health care received a boost when the House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee approved legislation, sending the bill to the entire committee and moving a step closer to a vote by the House of Representatives.

Group health care plans would have to provide the same coverage for mental health care disorders as they do for other medical conditions.
