Pregnancy Discrimination Suit Filed Against Bloomberg

A recent lawsuit filed against Bloomberg LP apparently isn't the first of its kind filed against the company founded by New York City governor Michael Bloomberg.

A separate lawsuit was filed recently in Manhattan federal court by another woman who said she was also the victim of discrimination based on her pregnancy and maternity leave - similar to the three women in the suit filed by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Monica Prestia, who started working for Bloomberg LP as a sales representative in 1997, filed a suit in June saying that the company discriminated against her after she became pregnant in February 2005.
